Prisms are transparent optical elements with flat polished surfaces at precisely controlled angles to each other. They are used to invert, rotate, deviate or displace a beam, or break light up unto its constituent spectral colors. More than decades ago, Photonchina has begun focusing on a wide variety of high precision prism manufacturing with stringent specifications for angle, surface quality, flatness, transmitted wavefront, dimension, clear aperture and optical coating performance. Our current capabilities include Roof prism,Right angle prism, Penta prism, Rhomboid prism, Dove prism,Wedge prism, Anarmophic prism,Pellin-Broca prism etc. and corner cubes. We possess the process technology, tooling, know-how and metrology to consistently deliver superior performing prismatic optics. Substrate material can be chosen from all optical glasses (N-BK7, for instance), Fused Silica, Si, ZnSe, ZnS, CaF2, MgF2 etc.
In addition to standard prism products, highly-specialized optical systems often require components that cannot be classified under the standard prism types. Unusual prism shapes, angles/beam paths, thin film coatings, or chamfers and other features may bring into question the manufacturability of the optical components.
