Due to its natural optical rotation activity, quartz crystal can be used as polarization rotators.
They are able to rotate the polarization direction of linearly polarized light without changing its characteristics. The angle of rotation is determined by the thickness of the quartz crystal.
Our polarization rotators offer 45deg or 90deg rotation at a number of common laser wavelength, the optical axis in a polarization rotator is perpendicular to the polished face of the optic. The orientation of input linearly polarized light is usually rotated as it propagates through the device.
Left-handed and right-handed rotators may be offered by Photonchina.
